There were all these tourist around me throwing coins in the water and there was heavy rippling on the water. I replaced the water part of the image with the sky image flipped. It took a lot of work but it turned out pretty well.

It is one of the most accessible arches in the area. The parking lot is only a short distance from it. the climb is easy and then one can clamber all around it, This was shot with multiple images due to the intensity of the light…it was about 9 am.

This one caught my eye since it looked like it was fighting a losing battle to the local plant life. The light was wonderful, spotlighting the subject. It was shot on a tripod…..steadying the camera while I fought the gnats and ticks in the high grass.

At dawn, it was almost a spiritual experience. This image was a composite of multiple exposures due to the broad variance in light between the sky and the foreground.

This the place that property owners can stay when their houses are being built or where their guests can stay. Did I say theyview out any window is pretty amazing?

This was an impossible shot. The wind was gusting into the 40′s. I had weights on my tripod and I had to use my body as a shield for the camera.

As I was shooting various locations on the ranch, these two guys came over to check me out. They were very standoffish until I explained to them that I had come all the way from Chicago to make images of their estate. Once I had explained the workings of my digital camera, they became very involved in directing me in terms of which horses to take pictures of.
