
We visited about 5-6 waterfalls on this trip to the UP. They ranged in height from 6-8 inches to about 150 feet. I have never been good at capturing the whole falls; much better at smaller pieces. I was attracted to the10:00 light; it was very warm.

This series was shot in the part of Michigan that borders Lake Superior….the “UP”. This image was shot on our way to scouting a couple of different lakes. This is a composite of two shots; the light was hard to find.

This image was shot yesterday at the Morton Arboretum, outside of Chicago. The leaf color was not excellent but I was playing around with back lighting through the leaves and caught this with HDR.

I was looking for some warmer shots. Right now it is cold, blowing and we are getting pelted with wet snow. This was shot last fall up on the Illinois-Wisconsin border. I was going up to try and get some good images of geese in flight. That did not work out, but this was a [...]

Shot the same frosty morning as the leaf image. It was very hard to isolate the background so that the bud remained the main object. I was also surprised how few buds were in somewhat pristine condition.
