This HDR shot was made in southern Wisconsin at a farm that had been abandoned and boarded up…..toys were still in the front yard. Shades of the Grapes of Wrath.

So I have a good imagination! Another shot from Antelope Canyon. We shot there through the noon period so the light was amazing.

This is the 4th time that I have tried to capture the beauty of a slot canyon. I think that I am finally getting it! This image consists of 11 exposures that were combined with a software called Photomatix,

This image was shot yesterday at the Morton Arboretum, outside of Chicago. The leaf color was not excellent but I was playing around with back lighting through the leaves and caught this with HDR.

I decided to try this in HDR, I did not like the blotchy results. I ended up combining the HDR output with a filtered version of one of the originals. The effect is much more pleasing.

Boy, was this fun to play with! It was shot yesterday about 4:40 am. It started as a simple beauty shot, I then added 5 more exposures and turned it into an HDR. An hour later, I ended up with this……it does not look like it is going to be a good day in Chicago.

Another waterfall at Starved Rock. What made this shot a little difficult was the water dripping down my neck while I was setting up the shot and while I was trying to cover the camera from the pervasive drip-drops. By the way, this is a six-shot HDR image.

Last weekend I shot at the Botanic Garden for 3 days in a row. This is another HDR rendition. I am finally finding that Photomatix is becoming my friend.

I entered this in competition…..they thought it was better than I did! This was shot in Canyon X, northeast of Page, AZ.
