This gift appeared the second morning in the UP. The shore went from dark to yellow fire in under 5 minutes.

We found this pond and spent a hour or so shooting it. The light changed in intensity constantly and the fog burned off the water. Places that we shot 20 minutes earlier were now brand new.

We visited about 5-6 waterfalls on this trip to the UP. They ranged in height from 6-8 inches to about 150 feet. I have never been good at capturing the whole falls; much better at smaller pieces. I was attracted to the10:00 light; it was very warm.

This series was shot in the part of Michigan that borders Lake Superior….the “UP”. This image was shot on our way to scouting a couple of different lakes. This is a composite of two shots; the light was hard to find.
