This slot canyon was about an hour’s drive from Escalante, Utah. I was all the way back inside and shot towards the light. I had to use about 8 exposures to fill in the variance in light.

The Tribe owns and runs Antelope Canyon. This is the son of the family that runs the concession here, The music sounded wonderful, wafting through the orange shapes and shadows.

There are only 20 people allowed at this location per day. As you can see, some of the popular vantage points fill up quickly.

This was shot about 6-8 miles west of Coyote Buttes; a place only our guide knew about. The afternoon colors were glorious in the light reflected off the sandstone. I processed this image in B&W and in color. I like both.

  A little later in the morning I moved south on the Buttes to where the hoodoos stopped and the fins and slip rock began. This image looks east….it is probably 40-50 miles to Page.
