So I have a good imagination! Another shot from Antelope Canyon. We shot there through the noon period so the light was amazing.

This is the 4th time that I have tried to capture the beauty of a slot canyon. I think that I am finally getting it! This image consists of 11 exposures that were combined with a software called Photomatix,

This image was shot yesterday at the Morton Arboretum, outside of Chicago. The leaf color was not excellent but I was playing around with back lighting through the leaves and caught this with HDR.

Boy, was this fun to play with! It was shot yesterday about 4:40 am. It started as a simple beauty shot, I then added 5 more exposures and turned it into an HDR. An hour later, I ended up with this……it does not look like it is going to be a good day in Chicago.

There are only 20 people allowed at this location per day. As you can see, some of the popular vantage points fill up quickly.

This image was shot at the southern end of the formation, up pretty high. The sky coloration is caused by the warming polarizer filter. If you look real hard at the peak in the distance, it is probably about 20-30 miles west of Bryce Canyon.

Another cold day in Chicago. I decided to warm me up by printing this sunflower which I shot about 3-4 summers ago. All I remember from the shoot was the fact that I had about 2″ of mud on my sneakers when I was done; ‘had to drive bare foot.

I loved the color of this one and how the droplets of moisture stuck to the blossom. I shot this at a mid aperture and had to wait for the fans to stop running to get rid of movement in the plant.

I had a bad case of shutter finger today. There was no snow on the ground, the shore was covered with ice crud from the lake and it looked like it was getting overcast. I decided to go up to the Botanic Garden and shoot in the greenhouse. This bloom was the first thing that [...]
